What 50,000 puffs actually means

That number comes from lab testing — short, even draws at a fixed setting. You'll get less than that in normal use.

Long draws, higher power settings and warmer modes all use more liquid per puff. A device rated at 50,000 might give you 30,000 to 40,000. That's not a fault, and it's not one brand doing it — every manufacturer measures the same way.

The number's still worth something for comparing devices. A 50,000 will last you about twice as long as a 20,000. Just don't read it as a promise.

Same puff count, very different amounts of liquid

Every device here says 50,000 puffs. But the e-liquid ranges from 14 mL to 24 mL — the biggest holds nearly double the smallest.

That gap tells you something. If two devices claim the same puffs from very different amounts of liquid, they're assuming you take very different draws. The millilitres are the number worth comparing.

Why they all recharge

There's more liquid in these than any pocket-sized battery can get through, so charging isn't optional — it's the only way to finish the device. But rechargeable isn't refillable. These are sealed: once the liquid's gone, so is the device.
